It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Renate Ludwina Linley-Wright of Columbus, Ohio, who passed away on November 15, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Joe is survived by his spouse in marriage of 33 years, Barbara L. Joe enjoyed practical jokes, gag gifts, Steelers football, and Ford cars and trucks. In his spare time, Joe liked to fish, visit with friends, and practice his woodworking skills. His last vocation was an industrial mechanic at LMT Mercer Group, in Hartville, Ohio. His post-service career included time with LTV Steel (Aliquippa, Pennsylvania), Kaiser Aluminum (Heath, Ohio), Buckeye Steel Castings (Columbus, Ohio), and Sawbrook Steel Castings (Cincinnati, Ohio). He was stationed in Okinawa, Japan as a track vehicle mechanic. Joe enlisted in the United States Marine Corp in 1969, following in the footsteps of Buzz and Freddy. He was known for having the second fastest car in Beaver County at one point. Joe loved to race muscle cars that he rebuilt. He attended Beaver Area High School, Beaver, Pennsylvania and participated in track and field and cross country. ![]() Joe was raised by Lillian ("Lil") Theresa (Martin) Doughty and Herbert ("Buzz") Clarence Doughty after Freddy's and Mary's untimely passing in 1953. Joe was born on Novemto Alfred ("Freddy") Joseph Martin and Mary Jane (Stone) Martin. Joe fought this last health battle like all the other fights in his life – in it to win or at least to "give 'em hell". Joseph ("Joe") Alfred Martin passed away at his home in Springfield Township, Summit County, Ohio at the age of 69 years during the afternoon of Saturday, October 23, 2021.
